A Structured Approach to Apparel and Sewn Product Development Services
Better manufacturing starts earlier
We develop apparel and sewn products through patternmaking, sewn samples, grading, and tech packs built from real development work.
Incomplete development
Leads to costly issues
These assumptions lead to revisions, delays, increased costs, and a frustrating cycle of trying to clarify the design.
Development first
Developing your product first allows issues to be identified and resolved early, resulting in a more comprehensive tech pack.
Ensures smooth production
A tech pack without patterns and samples leaves your factory to make assumptions about how your product is built.
The factory now has clear instructions to build your product, resulting in a faster, smoother production process.
A tech pack doesn’t build your product. Development does.
Production outcomes are defined during development.
Apparel product development helps reduce manufacturing errors, sampling revisions, fit inconsistencies, and production delays before manufacturing begins.
Each step builds on the last, preparing your design for manufacture.
STEP 0
STEP 1
Before you can develop your idea, you need to be able to show it. This guided course helps you turn inspiration into a clear, professional design.
The Apparel Product Development Process
We transform your design into a 3D model on an industry standard dress form for you to review and approval before moving into real-life prototyping.
STEP 2
Test and refine your design through a prototyping process that rapidly moves from mock up to final draft at lower cost and risk.
STEP 3
Once an approved prototype is established, it can be graded into a size range to produce additional samples for material testing, fit validation, sales samples, or photo shoots.
STEP 4
When the development of your design is done, we combine all of the construction data into a complete and comprehensive instruction manual.
STEP 5
Produce a small run of units to evaluate consistency across fit, construction, and materials, and confirm your product is ready to move into larger-scale manufacturing.
Not Sure Where You Are In The Process?
Whether you are starting a clothing brand, developing apparel products, or preparing for manufacturing, we’ll meet you there and help you move forward with clarity and a plan.
I have an idea, but nothing developed
I have sketches or an early sample, but need development
