Shield Society

Founder and Designer, Jacqueline Merhej, first approached MADE Apparel Services with her idea in late 2020 during the Pandemic. Soon after and a few samples later, the Shield Hoodie was perfected and a final sample and tech pack were ready for a manufacturer — and the brand was born.

MADE Apparel Services worked with Jacqueline to create a design with optimal functionality in mind. Shield Hoodie™ allows the wearer to eat, drink, and socialize freely, all with ShieldWise™ technology in place. Complete 360-degree protection is provided with a triple-layer antimicrobial zinc- and silver-Ion MicroBlok® and MaxiDri® moisture-wicking hood, as well as an EPA-approved PETG shield. It’s designed to easily move to the back of the head when not in use. The garment also comes with a cinch bag for easy toting. The fabric portion of Shield Hoodie is fully machine washable and dryable. A removable face shield unzips from the garment with ease and can be hand-washed with soap and water.

Shield Society is a women-owned, women-run, socially-conscious brand, dedicated to bringing products to market that helped students get back to school and everyone else get back to everyday life.

All of their products are made in the USA by quality designers and craftsmen. Their design studio is located in the Seattle, Washington area, and the manufacturing facility is located in the California area. They strive to source our materials from American suppliers.
