Special Projects

We love the requests for unique and unusual work. Here are a few!

RESTORING AN OLD SWING

A swing set that had been weathering the Alaska climate for many years.  The client repainted, but MADE recreated the awning and all cushion covers.

custom made curtain lining

The underside of this custom made curtain was badly stained. MADE replaced the white lining for a fresh, new look...all for only $20 in materials!

OLD BAG UPCYCLING

The original bag was wearing and lacked a much needed exterior pocket so MADE not only recreated the pattern, but we also repurposed the handles, bottom and interior pockets for a new, upcycled version of the original.

vintage nike shorts recreated

A 10+ year old pair of shorts that are no longer available for retail purchase (we checked!), but the client really loved them and wanted a new, identical pair to replace them.

MADE replicated the pattern and constructed new shorts with all new materials.

NEW COUCH COVER

A nice, but aged couch at a winery home in Dundee, OR.  Measurements were taken by the client and constructed by MADE for a perfect fit! You Almost can't even tell there's a difference.

STORAGE BOX COVERS

The client wanted a new cover for two storage boxes on the bow of a 78' vessel.  The existing cover had been made many years ago and didn't actually fit correctly.  The challenge was that these storage boxes were not perfectly rectangular but more trapezoidal in shape.  MADE patterned and constructed new covers in Sunbrella brand fabric and used turn latches instead of Velcro to secure the closure.

NEW BIMINI COVER

A bimini cover from Sorrento, FL that survived the 2017 hurricane Irma, but not without some whiplash and tearing.  The entire perimeter of the cover ripped free of its grommet lashing strip and the top cover needed minor repairs to the fabric's edges.

MADE trimmed, resized and hemmed the edges and reattached grommet stripping for a professional, but less expensive alternative, than any local company...who were all booked out several months, of course!

This anchor needed a cover!  After several drapings and patterning corrections, a nice, custom fit was finally achieved.
